somebody went ballistic on my blog yesterday after i mentioned the hearing i went to at work. (s)he got very derogatory, outed the office i work in, and made some idle threats. the person left a ton of anonymous comments and tried to pass them off as if it were more than one person (sitemeter said someone spent about 3 hours on my blog in 24 hours). first i deleted the offending post, but that seemed to piss the person off even more and they left 4 or 5 insulting comments within 10 minutes of the deletion.
i'm pretty disappointed. i wanted that to be more of diary than an issue advocacy site. the person didn't read the post very carefully, and i think that everything i said was more than defensible. i know i could just as easily have shut the comments off, but as soon as my office was outed i felt it was inappropriate to keep the site up.

People suck :( I'm glad you're going to continue to keep in contact. Maybe start a new blog/LSN account with a new name and don't mention work? I would think it would be pretty hard for this lunatic to find you again...
