Sounds like a great choice!!! (even though I was secretly rooting for CU only 'cause it's my alma mater and I get to CO once in a while). :)

Portland is awesome; I'm sure you'll love it. Is L&C the school with the doggie daycare playground thing right on the law school campus? When I was applying I remember seriously considering some NWern school that featured a fenced dog play area where students could leave their dogs while they were in class. I really really liked that idea, but then, well, there was some other reason not to go there...

Anyway, doggie playground or not, you have now entered the best part of law school -- you know where you're going and when you start, so now all you have to do is have as much fun and relaxation as possible before Day One. Enjoy!

Yay! I thought so.

Hey, I didn't realize your wedding was coming up so soon! I guess you have a lot on your mind besides law school.

Thanks you guys! :)

ambimb: No, I don't think there's doggy daycare at L&C, although that is a GREAT idea! For other people - my dog would get all ate up.

CM: Oh my goodness, you are so right! Before this semester I did not know the meaning of "busy." I guess it's a good warm-up for law school...

So I really love L&C and am interested in Environmental Law, and hearing your observations of Vermont [among others], tells me I definately would choose L&C over VT... however, I am an east-coast girl, love my megopolis, people all over that I know, etc etc.... so, other than Vermont, what are some good law schools you fell for back east?
Thanks!

Hi Whitney,

Well, first of all, I was in a bitchy mood when I wrote my VT post, so please make sure you check it out for yourself! They have some great faculty members there, and lots of opportunities for environmental law.

That said, I didn't really think geographically at all when researching law schools. I knew I wanted a strong environmental law program and things sort of evolved from there. Vermont turned out to be the only school I looked at seriously on the east coast. You may want to research Pace which ranks highly in environmental law in USNWR.

I wish I could be of more help...Maybe some other people who read here could offer Whitney some other east coast suggestions?

Good luck! You are applying for next Fall, right? Are you taking the LSAT in June?

But thanks for your comment back!
