A Promise

I'm making a sincere promise to myself concerning law school.

I'm making a commitment to not let myself get swept up in the tide of anxiety-filled advice. I'm going to stay as healthy and sane as possible. I'm going to do my best work and then try very hard to not worry excessively about grades.

I'm going to take part in activities that I feel will help me achieve my goals, but I'm not going to try and do everything. I'm not going to worry about what other people are doing.

I'm going to try and make law school fun.

Sounds like a healthy attitude. I don't know if I can promise this to myself, but I'll strive for the same thing.

Why Law - I'm begging you to keep me sane! *lol*

BTW, how does that zip code distribution for sections work (ref: your comment)?

shell -

Shelley (aka Menagerie) could tell us more, but from what I understand the school groups people into sections based on where we live. I'm assuming this is to encourage and help out with carpooling, study groups, etc.

I think it's thoughtful. :)

wow, i was just hoping that i would be lucky enough to get some sleep occasionally...but since you are trying to keep a positive attitude and all, i guess i'll go along too.

seriously, you make a good point, i hope we all find a way to keep it together and have a good time.

I feel the same way. My thought is that you can't be good at anything if you're not good to yourself first.

i think thats a great attitude, and if i get into law school (fingers crossed) then I plan to have a similar perspective as you.
