Dare To Dream

I have always wanted to be on some kind of rowing team. CU has one, but my bus never ran early enough for me to make practice. So when I found out that Lewis & Clark Law has a dragon boat team - the "Scales of Justice" that races during the Portland Rose Festival - I added the rowing machine to my (severely diminished) gym time with the intention of trying to make the team come spring semester. I've never really used the rowing machine before, but as it turns out I really enjoy it. And as an added bonus I'm now sporting some bitchin' blisters.

I'm gald you like it, and I hear those dragon boats are fun. At the start of UG, I was solicited by no fewer than three people to join the crew team, usually with some variation of, "Hey, you're tall. Have you ever thought about rowing crew?"

I was on the team for almost exactly twenty-six hours.

Uh oh...I hope "tall" isn't a prerequisite for rowing! Oh well, it's fun anyway!

I'm sure it's not a problem, WL! I had several friends who participated, and they had neither experience NOR height on their sides. :)
